Editorial Review for Crystal Mountain Ski Resort – by Kyle Hays

The Scene
After a day of mogul bumping, relax at the state-of-the-art Campell Basin Lodge, lcoated at teh top of the Forest Queen chairlift, which offers an upscale food court and a killer view. Skiiers can also fuel up at the Alpine Inn--the state's highest full-service restaurant--and at any of five other nearby dining options. You'll find everything from pizza and microbrews to roaring fires and pristine mountain views.

The Slopes
Crystal is a regular destination for Northwest snow junkies, thanks to 2,300 acres of skiable terrain and several high-speed lifts. Visitors can explore 55 groomed trails or take their pick of challenging backcountry routes amid the glades. Snowboarders appreciate the wide intermediate runs descending from the Summit House, as well as the more challenging powder runs in the Snorting Elk bowl (off the Green Valley Chair). Learn the ropes in a beginner class, or join Mike Hattrup's All-Mountain Ski Camp for a taste of adrenaline-driven downhill.

I've only been once and I'm just learning to board, so I think the next time I go it will be awesome! However, even for a beginner I enjoyed myself. A variety of runs, nice lifts (crowded), and awesome views. Beautiful terrain cuts thru the trees. I'll be going again this year.

Pros: terrain, setting

Cons: , parking, lines at bottom

It's a very good mountain for learners. With their Kids club but also its a very good mountain for advanced skiers as well.
